Dr. David E. Bloom is Clarence James Gamble Professor of Economics and Demography in the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Bloom is an economist whose work focuses on health, demography, education, and labor. In recent years, he has written extensively on primary, secondary, and tertiary education in developing countries and on the links among health status, population dynamics, and economic growth. Dr. Bloom has published over 300 articles, book chapters, and books.
Dr. Bloom has previously been a member of the public policy faculty at Carnegie-Mellon University and the economics faculty at Columbia University and Harvard University. He currently serves as a Faculty Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and is a member of the Board of Directors of PSI and of the Board of Trustees of amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research. Dr. Bloom also serves as Director of Harvard's Program on the Global Demography of Aging. In April 2005, Dr. Bloom was elected Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Bloom received a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in 1976 and a PhD in Economics and Demography from Princeton University in 1981.

In 2017 Mr. Kayser founded the non-profit Institute for Polarities of Democracy and in 2018 formed Sixseed, a forward-thinking healthcare coaching/consulting firm.
Jack Boulet

Dr. Boulet recently retired from the positions of Vice President, Research and Data Resources, for both the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER). Dr. Boulet holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario and both a M.A. and Ph.D. in Education, specializing in measurement and evaluation, from the University of Ottawa. He is a Senior Scholar at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Medicine, an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Uniformed Services University, and a Fellow of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
Over the past 25 years, Dr. Boulet has worked on the development of performance-based credentialing assessments in medicine. He has published extensively in the field of medical education, focusing specifically on measurement issues pertaining to performance-based assessments, including objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs) and various mannequin-based evaluation methodologies. In his role with FAIMER, he has also investigated workforce issues, concentrating on the characteristics of international medical education programs, the structure and value of accreditation systems, the international migration of health care workers, the contribution of international medical graduates (IMGs) to the labor force in the United States, and the quality of care provided by IMGs. Dr. Boulet currently serves on the editorial boards for Advances in Health Sciences Education: Theory and Practice, Education for Health, and Simulation in Healthcare. He is a Deputy Editor for Medical Education.

Janet is an educational psychologist and Director of CenMEDIC (the Centre for Medical Education in Context) and the FAIMER Centre for Distance Learning in London.
For most of her academic life, Janet conducted policy research in medical education for the UK government and professional medical and regulatory bodies. Her interests are in policy research, regulation, educational development, continuing professional development (she is author of The Good CPD Guide, Taylor and Francis, 2012) and curriculum. She has written extensively on contextual relevance in these topics.
CenMEDIC runs an international distance learning Master's course on accreditation and assessment in health professions education for the US Foundation for the Advancement of International Medical Education and Research [FAIMER] and Keele University Medical School in the UK. Her Centre also developed and manages Sci59, the online psychometric Specialty Choice Inventory and the online Diagnostic Thinking Inventory.

John Norcini, PhD is President Emeritus of the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) and Research Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Upstate Medical University. FAIMER has an active research program on international health professions education and physician migration, global fellowship programs for faculty from health professions schools, and databases of recognized medical schools around the world. Prior to FAIMER, Dr. Norcini held a number of positions at the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has more than 200 publications, lectured and taught in more than 45 countries, and is on the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed journals. He is an honorary Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) and the Academy of Medical Educators and has received numerous awards including the Karolinska Prize for Research in Medical Education.

He is Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine and has been recognized for teaching excellence with the Lindback Award and the Trustees' Award. A graduate of Oberlin College, Cornell University Weill School of Medicine, and University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, Dr. Burdick completed training in Internal Medicine at Boston City Hospital and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
